Wish I could join you for the reunion. Unfortunately, I’ve got an exam to study for PLUS family in town. I’ll try to find some Busch somewhere to toast you all Saturday night from South Florida.
Thanks for the great memories. What a terrific website. Will try and be there for Saturday and Sunday. Things are hectic here with Little League, softball and a whole host of other activities for the under 9 set. This can’t be our 15th year out! Jean, I thought you were going!
Saturday Night Bull Roast
It takes place in Memorial Gym….remember Parents’ Weekend dances? It’s a set up like that. Last year was a little downer b/c we had a band that wasn’t so great. This year, we return to a DJ who can cover all your requests for decent party music. It’s a pay in advance thing though, so you need to buy your tickets before we go that weekend. It ends at midnight….off to the apartments for late night?
I want to fill you in about this event if you haven’t gone before this year.
This is the fourth year for the alumni bull roast.
It takes the place of that boring dance that used to happen in the ARCC and it a less formal, more fun alternative. It was a great idea thought up by Gerry Dowd and Kelly Mc’Laughlin MSM’90. It’s very casual, so you can do the whole shorts and flip flops thing.
It’s all you can eat / drink from 7 ’til 12. It’s a smart option instead of driving in to the Ott House after your class barbeque. They used to serve buckets of beer at this event, but it led to a slight crowd control problem…..can you say beer slides? Yeah, I know! THAT was fun. There are still pitchers, but no buckets this year
Just wanted to fill everyone in on the evolution and details of this new addition to alumni weekend.

Friday Night @ Reunion Weekend:
Class of 1992….want to fill you in on another change/additon to Reunion Weekend.
Friday night has always been kind of a night that lacks any “kick-off.” Yes, there was the “social” in the cafeteria, but did you who finds a group of 35 people max…and every light on full blast to be a fun night? Oh yeah…and there was never any music.
This year, we’ve added a Kick-Off Party to the Friday evening schedule. It will take place in The Mount Cafe (the current bar in Patriot) and the front patio of Patriot. There will be live music in the bar with speakers pumped out onto the patio/fountain area. The patio will be great if it’s warm, dry night. Nothing like drinking outside at The Mount….looking up at the Terrace! Beers will be poured at the bar and you can move to/from the patio and bar areas. It takes place from 8:30 to 12:30, and may be a nice way to start your 15 year reunion.
After that, I guess everyone will head to the quad. And if you come to C-19, TA will be bouncing at the door. Don’t tell me later that I didn’t warn you! Jen Gaul was supposed to be TA’s backup, but I heard she is going drinking early Friday afternoon at Cunningham Falls.
